Well, as the song goes, another one bites the dust. I got up this morning and thought, “wait…did I post something yesterday?” because really, I don’t even know what day of the week it is.

I guess I have a good excuse for missing yesterday. My husband and I had a date night because my daughter was volunteering at a parenting meeting for her Child Development class. The students help take care of the kids while the parents go to workshops on what I think is Positive Parenting philosophy. Anyways, we went to our local brewery for the second time this week and then our local ice cream shop for dessert. When we got home, our daughter needed help studying for her AP psych test, so we focused on that and doing our own thing to let her focus and then went to bed so we could all get up at 5:15 am this morning so she could study some more. Joy!

But, I have my coffee on board and I was able to prep for my class today (on active listening – one of my favorite lessons), print out rubrics for my debate classes today (we are on our last in a series of three days of “congressional debates”), and do a little picking up around our house because we’re having friends over for BBQ tonight (not my favorite choice of my husband’s with the couple of weeks I’ve had, but we’ll go with it – we are going to be out of town for most of Thanksgiving week, so this is our Friendsgiving).

Our house is a bit of a disaster, but I’m leaving it up to my husband to figure that out since he is home today and I am not.

I figured I would get this post done since I’m likely to be busy the rest of the day and then with friends this evening. Trying not to miss another day!

Actually, Sue, this is the first time I read your blog posts, so I have no recollections of you missing any day on anything. I also made sure I read the “About me” section before I read this blog post.

SO NICE of you to study with your kid– we are definitely less nice in that regard. Hope your Friendsgiving was fun.

Friendsgiving sounds fun! I love the idea of BBQ for that meal. What did you eat?

We had ribs and tri tip. Our friends brought salad and twice baked potato casserole that was delicious! We also had chips and salsa. 🙂

life gets busy- not a big deal in my book to kids a day. The friends over for BBQ sounds fun. Coach and I have hit up the same Mexican spot for a date the last few weeks. We get a break from our younger girls on Friday afternoons. It’s close and tasty and easy.
