Welcome to my little corner of the internet—part coffee-fueled pep talk, part heartfelt reflection, and part “how do we juggle all this and still have fun?”
I’m a Communication Studies professor, Speech & Debate coach, Girl Scout leader, and Director of a First-Year Experience program at a State University. I spend my days helping students find their voice, guiding young leaders, and championing empathy, belonging, and purpose in education and beyond. I’m also a proud mom to a fierce, funny teenager, wrangler of two dogs and three cats. I live in a house full of love, chaos, laundry, and post-it notes.
This blog is a place where I share slices of mid-life realness—whether it’s reflections from the classroom, parenting tops (and flops), Girl Scout adventures, bookish joy, or self-care reminders for those of us doing a lot. You’ll find encouragement, ideas, and a whole lot of heart here.
Things I believe in:
- You’re never too old to start something new.
- Leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about connection.
- Laughter counts as cardio.
- Jessica Fletcher (Murder She Wrote) is an underrated life coach.
Thanks for stopping by—I’m so glad you’re here!
