Friday Favorites – Quick Edition

Welcome to November! If you’ve been following along here, you know this week was a little more eventful than I would like, but today is all about my favorites! And I missed my first day of #nablopomo yesterday (Friday). I wrote a post, didn’t like it, trashed it, then never came back to replace it. 😦 Oh well – I’ll do two today!

Pop over to A Little Bit of Everything or Momfessionals and check out all the Friday Favorites linked there!

I’m going to do a quick, mostly photos Friday Favorites and later today, I’ll come back with some words.

Fall is in the house and on my Spotify. Literally! And Murder, She Wrote. Of course.

These two enjoying a nap together on the couch. The bulldog makes friends with every cat we bring in the house. She is the cat whisperer.

Student excitement over upcoming debates. It was so fun to see them show their interest in things and be willing and feel safe to voice opinions and also test out ideas they don’t necessarily agree with, but want to understand better.

My campus in the Fall. My campus is pretty year round (we have a ton of trees, a creek that runs through campus, etc.), but the Fall is when it really shines.

Wisdom from Sweatpants and Coffee! I don’t know how she does it, but I feel like she looks into my week and then writes a message just for me!

I don’t know why I couldn’t do this yesterday. I was at a creative sticking point and just could not think. This morning I cleaned up my sectional and vacuumed and feel a little better. Our house looks a little like a storage space right now, with our futon and storage tubs in the living room and hallway and our bedroom because of the roof leak this week. So, I think my brain is a little cluttered as well.

What were your favorites this week?

That is completely understandable that your brain would be a cluttered while dealing with a roof leak and a house all torn apart. Those types of things are so stressful! It’s a silly thing but I just realized this week that the TV show Ghosts was back for a 5th season and I have 5 episodes to binge and enjoy… not that I did end up binging them but it was still nice to spread them out through the week and relax with a show that always makes me laugh.

I haven’t watched that show, but it looks like something I would love. We watched the whole season of North of North on Netflix this week, and it was great!

Hi Sue! Popping over to check out your blog from the NaBloPoMo list. I relate to the cluttered house scenario. When my kids come home from college, their stuff is everywhere. I can handle a lot of chaos, but sometimes I need things to get organized. Like your clean the sectional, etc. I perk up a little and feel more settled if I go thru the crap on the countertop. Sorry about your roof leak. *shudder*

My favorite last week we getting to come home on an earlier flight on Tuesday evening, so I could watch Curly’s last high school volleyball game. Coach and I squeezed in a visit with my folks Friday afternoon and then had an appetizer and a drink at a Mexican place near home. Also, I asked him to do the grocery shopping this week, and he did it. That was a win.
