It is Sunday already, but I’m still doing the Friday Favorites with A Little Bit of Everything and Momfessionals! I’ll be honest, it seems like last week’s Friday Favorites was months ago! This week has not been as busy as the previous weeks, but it just felt loooooong. I have started my list of things to do for next week and it is already far too long. But, I have some things I would really like to accomplish before the end of the year, so I’ll use this post to update you on some of my favorites from this past week, but also look forward to the last quarter of the year and making it the best it can possibly be!

A Night With the Showgirl
My friend Theresa got tickets for me, my husband, my daughter and two of her friends (Theresa is a boy mom, so she loves to do girl things with us)! It was a load of fun and I really enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes footage of the video for the Ophelia song (especially her loaf of bread – the star!) and hearing all the stories behind the songs. My favorites are Canceled and Wish List! I’m not a huge T Swift fan, but I totally appreciate her Girl Boss vibes and I think she has been a great role model for young women.



Heart Clinic Appointment
I don’t have photos from this one because I ended up staying home. But, my daughter had a heart clinic appointment with the transplant team on Monday. I stayed home because our dog had a hurt leg and needed meds twice a day and our regular pet sitter was out of town and it felt like a lot to have a new pet sitter and have to give meds (our dog is NOT a good med taker). The appointment went well. All looks good (or as they say – the same – because she does have a leaky valve and some arrythmias) and we don’t have to go back until January 26!
Last 90 Days Challenge

This is an oldie, but a goodie for me. I don’t follow Rachel Hollis much any more, but I do love the idea of closing out the year in a positive, healthy way. So, although it is already only 87 days to the end of the year, I’m going to kick off the #Last90Days challenge tomorrow. Why tomorrow? Well, I already slept in today (much needed after this week) and we went to our local Oktoberfest celebration last night. So, tomorrow seems like a better day to start this effort! It will still be 86 days of healthy and positive changes before year end! So, the plan is:
- Wake up at 5:30 am since I usually aim to get up at 6:30 am. This gets especially difficult with the time change, but I’m going to do it! I will use that time to read for at least 30 minutes.
- Walk for 30 minutes. I need to do this in the morning becuase it becomes nearly impossible at the end of the day when I am utterly exhausted. And I would like to do it with some speed and effort.
- Drink 100 oz of water each day. Again – this is not easy for me. I am not a water drinker. But, it is good for me. I know that.
- Rather than give up a certain type of food, I am going to do Weight Watchers and stay within my weekly points.
- Go back to my Gratitude Journal. I think 10 things is a little unnecessary, but I have this Journal I kept in my Notability app on my iPad for a while, but have not been keeping up with lately. So, I will go back to that.
