On Wednesdays we…get things done!

Today was all about checking off those lingering to-dos! With my husband returning after nearly two and a half weeks away at a camp in Michigan—and a short vacation on the horizon this Sunday—it was the perfect day to tackle everything that’s been piling up. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to it. Let’s take a look at what this productive Wednesday looked like:

Laundry – the never-ending story

Okay, so I can’t exactly check this one off the to-do list—it’s more of a permanent resident there. But I did make solid progress today: two loads washed. And the piles of bedding, towels and clothes from earlier in the week are done! All that’s left is the whites (which we’ll wait to build up a bit more). Sure, there’s still some folding and putting away to do, but I’m calling it a win. The piles of dirty laundry are no more—for now.

Walk it out

I’ve been making a real effort to get out and walk most days this month. I missed a couple earlier in the week, but I’m proud to say I’ve been consistent the past three days—out and about with the dog, and sometimes my daughter too. The weather’s been unseasonably cool for summer, which has made it extra nice… but that’s coming to an end today. Time to start walking earlier in the day to beat the heat—for both me and the pup.

On this morning’s walk, I spotted these flowers – beautiful in their simplicity. The color was so vibrant I had to stop and snap a photo. Nature wins again.

Get your mammogram…finally!

That’s right—I finally did it! Let me be your reminder not to do what I did and let your annual mammogram slip off the radar. I ended up behind schedule, but luckily when I called yesterday, they had an opening for today. And just like that—checked off the list!

As always, it was quicker and easier than I expected. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. A little self-care, a little peace of mind… I’m calling that a win-win.

We visit Starbucks

Errands require Starbucks. Today, I got a Coffee Frapp with whipped cream and my daughter got a Strawberry Acai Refresher with Lemonade. Yum.

We drop donations off at Goodwill

We had three big boxes to donate. Feels good to clear out closets and parts of the garage. There is still more to be cleared out, but I’m happy with what we got done.
